Today’s “Queen” of Qanon, Hasmik Leyloyan, is considered the innovator of classical school of Armenian Qanon, not only thanks to her new performing styles, but also for bringing in recitals in the history of Qanon (1974), by brilliantly performing folk, as well as classical complex compositions. Since 70’ies Hasmik Leyloyan is actively participating in different concerts. For many years she has been the soloist of Armenian State Philharmonic Society, later the soloist of Symphonic-Estrade Orchestra of Armenian National Radio.
On January Hasmik Leyloyan appeared with solo Concert in Greece. She gave concert on the occasion of the meeting of the presidents of RA and Greece. Vahagn Hayrapetyan and Armen Husnunts were accompanying her during the concert. She is preparing to release her new CD entitled “Around the World”. The CD includes the music of different nations starting from folk music to jazz music. On April 22 she leaves for Etovpia with solo concerts. On May 3 she is going to travel with solo concerts in Canada, Toronto with Ara Gevorgyan’s program.
On November 17- 23 Hasmik Leyloyan have two concert concerts in Cyprus with Ara Gevorgyan. The concert is devoted to 50 anniversary of Cyprus.
On October came out Hasmik Leyloyan ‘’Concert performances for qanon” transcription and treatments book, which contains pieces of well-known Armenian and other national classic composers’ works, of spiritual and national works, as jazz compositions’ pieces.
On September 27- October 10 took place Musical dialogues on the Silk Road in Syria. The Silk Road Festival embodied the meeting between cultures and arts through the Mixture of different musical Concert with the seventeen artists reflected images of the civilizations that have passed on the Silk Road.
Hasmik Leyloyan was invited to it. She was accomplished by the Indian and Jordan musicians. The concerts were been amazing. Many famous and professional musicians from Spain, France, China, Syria, India, Morocco, Tunis, Turkey, Iran, UAE, Yemen, Qatar, Jordan took part in the festival. Among them were Hasmik Leyloyan, Husain Sabsaby, Keivan Saket, Hussain Al-A’thami, Guillermo Guillen, Rocio Marquez, Prodipto Lahiri, Lotfi Bouchnak, Aboud Khawaja, Ma Xiao Hui, Nasser Salameh.
